One absolutely critical skill is being able to talk about days, months and years in Korean. Maybe you’re going on a trip for two days or leaving the country for a year. Perhaps you just want to talk about an event that’s taking place in four days. It’s virtually impossible to call yourself a Korean speaker without being able to express periods of time. In this beginner Korean lesson, master the ways to talk about days, months and years in Korean.

Discover sino-Korean numbers, the native and most popular way to talk about periods of time. And, you may be surprised about the formal versions of the words! This Korean lesson is packed with charts of common time periods and easy instructions for expressing any combination of days, months or years you’ll ever need.

You’re in Korea, and on the date you’ve been waiting for. You’re nervous, your hands are sweaty, and you don’t know what to say. The perfect way to break the ice? Well, the Korean way is… to compliment the hands of course! Well, maybe that’s not what every Korean person chooses to do, but that’s what 민수 (minsu) has chose to do in today’s lesson. As he’ll be complimenting someone in Korean, he’ll be using the possessive pronouns. Possessive pronouns in Korean contain some cultural and social implications, which are unique to Korean culture and Korean society. These are obvious if you take a deeper look into the Korean language. So to help you do that, we’ll be studying Korean and Korean culture with you! Remember to study Korean with KoreanClass101.com and while you’re at it, stop by and leave us a post!

Ryuji and Hyeongsa are helping us out with our Korean language education, and are helping us learn Korean numbers! In Korean there are two sets of numbers, Native-Korean numbers and Sino-Korean numbers. Both sets have different functions, and are used for different occasions. Today, as we’ll be reciting dates, we’ll need Sino-Korean numbers to do just that! After listening, remember to stop by KoreanClass101.com and leave us a comment!
