You got a great job in Korea teaching English to Korean children. You have always wanted a job like this, but your first day was a little stressful to say the least! It seemed that every five minutes one of the children was asking you a question in Korean! As soon as you arrived, a little boy asked you in Korean, “why are you here?” Nice. But most troubling is a little girl that cried all morning! You asked her in Korean, “why are you crying?” The little girl looked at you through tear-filled eyes and replied in Korean, “just because.” You asked her in Korean, “why won’t you tell me what’s wrong?” he little girl replied again in Korean, “just because.” You suddenly had a great idea! You reach into your bag and hand the little girl a teddy bear you brought with you from home. After all, he always makes you feel better. Looking at the flower and smiling, the little girl suddenly stops crying. She looks at you and asks in Korean, “why did you bring me the teddy bear?” To which you reply in Korean, “just because.”
