Your friend meets you at the finish and tells you in Korean, “You had a good race, didn’t you?” You respond in Korean, “Are we talking about the same race? I finished well short of my goal!” Your friend replies in Korean, “Well, you could look at it that way, or you could change your viewpoint.” Your friend continues in Korean, “Instead, look at it as a new goal for next year. It’s instant motivation.” You answer in Korean, “I guess so, but I’m still disappointed. It was a goal of mine.” Your friend reminds you in Korean, “But there are plenty of races next year!” You say in Korean, “I suppose…but I need to start training right away!” Your friend tells you in Korean, “Maybe you should take a little break and celebrate the end of this one first.
