Korean Catholic Prayers?

Postby rooraa » February 1st, 2010 7:24 am

I'm Catholic (<- how do you say that in Korean, anyways?_
and I thought a good way to expand my Korean vocab would be to memorize some Korean Catholic Prayers.

How do you say these in Korean:

The sign of the cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen

I'm Catholic as well and learned some prayers when I was in Korea over the summer.

Catholic
카톨릭 교회의 <~~~belonging to the Roman Catholic Church (Catholic+church+possessive)

Hail Mary:

Our Father:
There is even a video on youtube that can help you http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQlfUrQXOJ4

This person also has Our Father, Glory Be, and Apostle's Creed with the words in the "info"

We use the word 천주교 more than 카톨릭 in daily conversations.

I'm Catholic.

Above two would be the most accurate though,
these are fine as well.

etc...

Hope this helps too.
;)
