Wow.. Yostream .. your Korean suddenly keeps getting better and better! I understand you perfectly!

아니오, 그리스에 가지 않았지만 많은 그리스어 기념물이 시실리에서 있는데요
그래서 15'000구경꾼 환영할 수 있는 극장을 봤어요. 시실리의 극장이 제일 커요.
시라큐스 대성당도 등등 봤어요.
-this is great work!

trutherous씨의 예문들 위해 감사합니다.

You're welcome. I understand by "위해" you mean "for" but here it is not usually used like that. 위해 is used when you are going to do something on behalf of (for) a person, or when some action is going to fulfill a specific purpose (for the purpose of) or role.

Simply objectifying something with 을/를 is often enough to imply "for" when expressing gratitude:

예문들을 고마워요 (감사해요) Thank you for the example sentences.

and you can be more specific but notice that the expression of thanks comes after the object particle:

예문들을 주신 걸 고마워요. Thank you for giving the example sentences.

예문들을 적어 주신 것을 대단히 고맙습니다 Thank you very much for writing down the example sentences.

예문을 가르쳐 주신 것을 감사합니다 Thank you for teaching (me) the example sentences.

other times you can simply use 서 (implies reason -"because of")

가르쳐 줘서 고맙다 -Thanks for Teaching (me).
가르쳐 주셔서 고마워요 - Thanks for Teaching (me).
도와 주셔서 고마워요 - Thanks for helping (me).

examples of 위해

Anne 선생님을 위해 기도하겠습니다 - I'm going to pray for (on behalf of) Teacher Anne
시험에 합격하기 위해 열심히 공부하겠습니다 - I'm going to study hard in order to pass (for the purpose of passing) the test.

이것이 생각했기보다 훨씬 더 커요. This is even bigger than I thought.

이것은 생각했던 것보다 훨씨 더 커요.

just a bit more fun with "thanks:"

고맙다 - "thanks" (pure Korean word that expresses gratitude "고마움")
works well to express gratitude in tenses: past 고마웠어요 (was grateful), present 고마워요 (am grateful), and future 고맙겠어요 (will be grateful)

감사하다 - "do (give) thanks" (of Chinese origin (Hanja); expressing gratitude "감사" with "do" verb "하다")
the past tense of this is awkward and doesn't work as expected; however present and future tense work as expected without any distortion of meaning.
An added advantage is that "thanks" 감사 can be "offered" 드리다 (given) respectfully 예: 감사를 드립니다 -"I offer thanks"

Have fun!

Hey thanks again for answering :D

In your sentence " 예문들을 고마워요 ", how would you precise then for example that I thank specifically someone for his examples?
Would it simply be "Someone의 예분들을 고마워요"? Because in this case, I'm not really having the impression that I'm thanking the person... :(
Also on Naver I saw "에 대해" which was translated into for/about, and there was this example :

내가 메리에게 편지를 써서 그 선물에 대해 감사의 뜻을 전해야 한다. I must write and thank Mary for the present.

So, would "trutherous씨를 그의 예문들에 대해 감사합니다" be correct? (I thank trutherous for his examples)
Sorry for my obstination lol :D

Anyway, thanks as usual!

and 칭찬을 감사합니다!

If you are addressing someone directly in person or in writing it is implied that you are thanking that person specifically. If you want to distinguish someone from others or make know to others that you are talking about a specific person then you could certainly say (누구)의 (뭐뭐)을 고맙다 -- and to be even more specific you can describe in more detail what that person has done, and for whom it was done, as in this example, using the pattern 에 대해 that you mention : Anne 선생님 저에게 가르쳐 주신 것에 대해 감사합니다 - I am thankful to (Teacher) Anne for what she has taught me.

Also on Naver I saw "에 대해" which was translated into for/about, and there was this example :

내가 메리에게 편지를 써서 그 선물에 대해 감사의 뜻을 전해야 한다. I must write and thank Mary for the present.

Sorry for my obstination lol Very Happy

So if I understood correctly you have to sign in with a security number on most of the sites that provides the content I'm looking for (like this one ?http://www.now.co.kr/event_on/?target=B ), which can only be obtained illegally if you don't live in korean right? This is kinda sad :(

Anyway thanks to you and Anne for your comments :D

하이요~

누구나 내 문장들 확인할 수 있으면 좋겠어요.

네 입장을 완전히 이해해도 널 도와주지 않을 거예요. Even though I completely understand your situation, I will not help you.
네가 그런 것을 하기를 아마도 멈춰야 할 거예요. Maybe you will have to stop doing such things.
오늘 밤은 문장들을 쓰기 계속하든지 새 말들을 배우든지 고를 수 있어요. Tonight, I have the choice between continuing writing sentences or learning new words.
새 말들을 배우 더 좋은 선택 같아요. I think learning new words is a better choice.
학교가 더 재미있게 되려고 새 놀이들 샀어요. They bought new games in order to make school funnier.

문장 많아서 죄송합니다 ㅠㅠ

안녕하세요 Yostream씨!

Yostream씨 문장들 읽어 봤어요~ 아주 잘하시네요!
매일 조금씩 연습해 보세요~

잠시 몇가지 수정해 드릴께요!

"오늘 밤은 문장들을 쓰기 계속하든지 새 말들을 배우든지 고를 수 있어요."
(Tonight, I have the choice between continuing writing sentences or learning new words.)

-> 오늘밤에 문장쓰기를 계속 하던지, 새 단어들을 배울건지 선택할 수 있어요.

"학교가 더 재미있게 되려고 새 놀이들 샀어요."
(They bought new games in order to make school funnier.)

-> 더 재미있는 학교 생활을 위해 새로운 게임들을 샀어요.

이렇게 얘기하는게 더 자연스러워 보이지요?

앞으로도 많이 연습해 보세요~
Thanks :P

안녕하세요! 오랜만이에요^^

드디어 휴가에서 돌아왔어요. 대답하기 위해 충분한 시간이 없었어서 미안해요 ㅜㅜ.
지금부터 일을 다시 시작까지 2 달이 있어요.그래서, 저는 한국어 많이 연습하겠어요. 아까에 플래시카드를 쓰기를 시작하고 저에게 정말로 도와줬어요.
사전에 말을 찾지 않기로 이 글을 써 볼거예요. (lol this sentence is so wrong)

조금 -some, a little, a few, a bit
적은 -tiny, small (usually refers to physical: size, quantity, or dose)

마디 - word, a word (quantifier for words)

말을 한 마디 못 하겠어요 -I can't say a word about it. I refuse to talk about it.

몇 마디 - a few words
From http://dic.naver.com/
pen a few words
몇 마디 쓰다.
after a few remarks
몇마디 말한뒤.
quaver out a few words
떨리는 목소리로 몇 마디 말하다
address a few words to...
...에 대해 몇마디 하다.

몇 마디 더 할 게 있는데 - I've got something more that needs to be said. I've got a few more things to say. Here's a little piece of my mind.

와! 그 문장이 저에게 이해 상당히 어려워요.^^
I translated this as "We learn a lot of things that way so don't bother about it" 맞아요? :D

-Since we learn a lot of things using that method it would be good if you don't stress to much over that issue.

IN this case:
"that method"=using the dictionary
"that issue"= using the dictionary

Wow! I have never been to France -- but I've been close -- I was in Germany in 1978-79 while in the army.

Some vocabulary you may want to use:

몇 = some/few

몇 가지 = a few

몇 가지 일 = a few things
몇 번 = a few times
여러 = several
여러 번 = several times

Ah thanks for this vocabulary I never really knew how to say those. :D
