You’re watching a Korean movie and man starts barking away in something that sounds like Korean, but not really. You can make out a few words, but other than that, it’s a complete mystery! Everyone in the theater is laughing hysterically, and you don’t know why! You don’t want to be left out do you? Korean movies (especially Korean gangster movies), Korean comedy and television shows in Korea frequently use the Gyeongsangdo (Kyeongsangdo) Dialect. Listen in and find out what they’re talking about!

In this lesson we’ll be focusing on the culture in the province of Gyeongsangdo. There are a number of Korean provinces, and each province has their own feel and culture although they all share the same Korean culture. The people in Gyeongsangdo (and Busan) are different than the people in Seoul. Remember to stop by, learn some Korean, and learn Korean culture in this culture class. And after listening, remember to stop by KoreanClass101.com and leave us a comment!
