Learn Korean with KoreanClass101.com! Your class is discussing Korean history, and your professor asks you to go around the room and explain in Korean whether you had a role model when you were younger. As the other students name famous Koreans from history, you think to yourself in Korean, “I don’t know anyone famous to name. What will I say?” When it’s your turn, you explain in Korean, “Well, I didn’t have any famous role models whom I looked up to, but I did look up to my mother. To me, she was not only a caregiver but also my friend, confidant, coach, and mentor.” Your professor tells you in Korean, “A role model doesn’t have to be someone who is famous. And in fact, today we’re going to discuss a famous Korean mother, so that is the perfect lead-in!”
