:razz:Hi, Brandon.

I am Jaehwi from Koreanclass101.com

Thank you for asking us the question.

I believe that 가지고 놓다 should be 가지고 놀다(gajigo nolda), which means 'to play'. The verb-stem of 가지다(gajida) means 'to get' or 'to have', so if the combined verb '가지고 놀다(gajigo nolda)' means 'to get and play' literally.

In the same way, '가져다 놓다(gajyeoda notta)' means 'to get and to put down' so they have different meaning.
(you can also say 가져다가 놓다 - gagyeodaga notta)

I hope this would help you. If you have any more question, feel free to ask us.

Thank you!

I'm just wondering something here:

Is the expression, "가져다 놓다," the same as, "가지고 놓다?" I've seen the second form in a lot of places, but this is the first time I've seen the first. Also, is the first form listed in the grammar bank anywhere? I'd like to look into it more!

Nice lesson. Seems like the guy that's helping her gets tired kinda fast, though!

실문 있어요:neutral:: 대화에는 지수의 끝 문장에세 왜 “-에서” 대신 “-가”를 썼어요? “-에서”과 “실수로” 함게 써야 됀나요? I see that in this case, “-에서”= (mistake) “from” or “by” the moving company and not “at” the moving company’s location, which is what I first understood (I know, rookie mistake :roll:).
이 문장도 맞아요? 이삿짐 센터*가* 실수하고 2층에다가 짐을 가져다 놓았어.

도와 주셔 감사합나다.
