여러분, 복권에 당첨되면 뭐 하고 싶어요? (Everyone, (we know this is such a cliche question but!) what would you do if you won the lottery?)
Monday at 7:30 pm
복권에 당첨되면 한국을 가든지 한국음식점을 많이 먹든지 한국음악을 사든지 하려고 합니다.
Tuesday at 12:52 am
복권에 당첨되면 돈을 많이 구할 수 있을거에요. 그제서야, 미국으로 유학 가든지 여국으로 유학 가든지 할 기회가 있어요.
May i know if my structure is correct? Thanks.

What wouldn’t i do?

복권에 당첨되면 저도 해외 여행 가고 싶어요. 브라질에 가든지, 일본에 가든지, 타이에 가든지, …
:???:
세계가 너무 크죠…

음식점을 사서 운영하면, 일이 너무 많을 거예요
음반 가게를 사서 한국 음식을 날마나 주문해서 먹는 것이 더 편할 것 같아요 ㅎㅎ

Your sentences are almost all correct! Here’s my little correction
있을거에요 –> 있을 거예요.
그제서야 –> 그러면
여국으로 –> 영국으로
있어요 –> 있을 거예요 (since it’s the future)
Jacqueline
Maybe… “working to make a living” ^^?
생계를 유지하기 위해서 일하는 것? ㅎㅎ
Claudia (규리)
맞아요. 세계는 너무 넓고, 가고 싶은 곳은 참 많아요 !! ㅎㅎ 저도 복권에 만약 당첨되면, 해외 여행 갈 것 같아요.
하지만… 복권을 안 사니까, 당첨될 수 없겠죠?
Rich
앗… 집을 사기 위하여 결혼해요? ^^
Wednesday at 4:08 am
ㅎㅎ 저는 돈이 많은 복권에 당첨되면 돈을 달라고 하는 모르는 친척들한테서 숨어야 될 것 같네요…
Wednesday at 8:23 am
복권에 당첨되면 파티하든지 춤추든지 할 거예요!!
돈이, 어디읶습니까?
Wednesday at 9:03 am
Daniel
하하하. 그냥 “돈을 달라고 하는 친척”도 아니고, “모르는 친척”이라고 하니 더 웃겨요 ㅋㅋ 그 “모르는 친척”은 진짜 친척일까요? ㅎㅎ
Tom
ㅎㅎㅎ 돈이 어디 있는지 모르겠어요~ 아마 복권을 사서, 아주 아주 아주 운이 좋으면 돈이 생기겠죠?

I have a question about the sentence connection ‘or’ in Korean. Is it true that you always have to use this 거나 twice and then finish the sentence with some extra verbs? So when you say ‘I could take the car or the bike’, do you have to say:
차로 가거나 자전거로 가거나 해요. Or something, I don’t even know how to finish that sentence. Of course you can say:
차나 자전거로 가요. (At least I think) but that’s not what I mean here. Like, is it possible to just say
차로 가거나 자전거로 가요.
내일 공부하거나 영화를 볼 거예요.
Also, can you use this to ‘or’ two (grammatically) unrelated sentences? Like..
Should I rent the movie or are we going to have dinner first?
And I suppose the ‘or else’ construction is really different in Korean right? Like:
You have to study hard, or you will fail the test.

Jeroen
차로 가거나 자전거로 가거나 해요 and 차나 자전거로 가요 are both correct
차로 가거나 자전거로 가요 is fine,
It’s very flexible.
차로 가거나 자전거로 가거나 해요 is fine too
And like you said, ‘or else’ is a bit different,
So as you can see that’s -지 않으면.
or 그렇지 않으면
so if you want to say ‘you have to study hard, or you will fail the test’ - in Korean that’s ‘공부를 열심히 하지 않으면 떨어질 거예요.’
