Hi Hyunwoo...

My last name is Kim.
My dad is a "Kim"...from the Soonchun Kim line
My mom is a "Kim"...from the Kimhae Kim line

What does that make me? ... do the kids always follow the father's Kim lineage? ....how does that work if both your parents are Kims?

Are there any other Kims out there from either of these lines?

I chose the name, my mom didn't...
나도 이 이름 좋아요! I tried to find out about the meaning on the internet. "규리"라는 딸 있는 여자을 인터넷에세 찾았어요. 이 여자가 "규리"의 뜻이 "별"랑 "good', 'do (a person) good', 'beneficial" (奎利).
Maybe she meant benevolent? Can you help me w/ the meaning, Hyun-Woo? ^^

응, Claudia (클라우디아) 독일에 많이 있는 이름이에요!
Claudia Schiffer 몰라요?

My name is 罗子杰, when i was at uni with a whole group of koreans, one translated my name to 나와걸 or something similar. It was unanimous that it sounded ridiculous!

theresa :)

황숙리 :) 귀여운데! ㅎ 나도 한자로 이름이 있지만, 사실 공식적인 문서에 쓸 때 빼고는 쓸 일이 없어.

mike :)

That would be actually "나안덕" - 德 is pronounced "덕" ^^ 안덕 doesn't sound very typically Korean, but it sounds cool :) !

테레사 : )

황 테레사 suits you ^^ I have a lot of close friends whose last names are 황 :)

firsty :)
What kind of name do you want? ^^ And what's your full name? Maybe we can think of something similar to your full name :)

naohel :)
Hehe. it's an honor! :mrgreen::mrgreen:

Daniel :)
True, true, true ! I always thought it was funny that everything has only three blocks of space when some people had four letters in their names :D

Eden :)
나 is a good last name. Easy to pronounce and remember. When I was a child, people weren't really used to the last name "선" so everybody thought I was saying "손" which is a more common last name. I've just checked my cellphone and I have more friends with 나 in their last name than I thought! - three of them are "나"

And '본관' - you wrote it correctly. ^^
