I will make it short!
만약 literally can be translated as “if”, and it is often followed with ‘않으면’. Therefore, 만약 “if” 공부하고 싶지 않으면 “you don’t want to study”, 쇼핑가자 “let’s go shopping instead”.
and you’d respond like, “아냐, 난 꼭 공부해야돼!” ㅎㅎㅎ

만약 “if” is most often placed at the beginning of each sentence just like English.
