Saturday at 2:16 pm

Monday at 6:08 am
내년에 한국에 가기를 바래요.
Monday at 12:00 pm
저도 빨리 석사 과정이 끝나길 바래요.
끝난 다음에 장학금을 신청하고 한국에 가서 박사 과정을 하려고요. 아직 받을 수 있는지 잘 모르겠지만 받을 수 있기를 바랍니다.
현우 씨, “Wish me luck” 한국말로 어떻게 하죠?
Monday at 4:14 pm
에릭 씨
내년에 한국에 올 수 있기를 바래요!!
유충 씨
“Wish me luck”은 “행운을 빌어 주세요”라고 해요 ^^
행운을 빌게요!!!!! 장학금 꼭 탈 수 있기를 바랄게요.
Monday at 11:17 pm
현우 씨
가르쳐 주셔서 고마워요.
그리고 행운을 빌어주셔서 감하합니다.
Tuesday at 7:49 am
내년에는 영어를 가르치러 다시 한국에 가기를 바래요!
But wait… does this mean the same thing? — 내년에는 영어를 가르치러 다시 한국에 갈 수 있었으면 좋겠어요.
I’ve thought that the “~었으면 좋겠다” structure carries the equivalent to the English “I hope” or “I wish.” Does anyone know?
Tuesday at 8:35 am
Daniel K–
As far as I know, the “~았/었/였으면 좋겠다” structure is more along the lines of “if (something) happened it would be better,” whereas the “~기를 바라다” structure is actually hoping for something to happen.

내년에는 중학교 졸업식에서 내 동급생들에게 한국어를 말할 수 있길 바래요, 나는 모두가 한국어를 사랑하는 걸 알고 싶어서요. ^_____^
그리고 고등학교 일학년동안 잘 지내길 바래요 ^^

유충 씨
열심히 노력하는 사람에게는 항상 행운이 따르니까, 유충 씨도 잘 될 거예요! 화이팅!!!
Daniel
Good point, and that’s actually what Lower Intermediate Lesson #25 is going to introduce
So stay tuned
hehe. Just like Alyssa said, -기를 바라다 is more about hoping for something to happen and -았/었/였으면 좋겠다 is more like “it would be nice if would…” but eventually both of them are used interchangeably in everyday conversations
저도 대니얼이 내년에 다시 한국에 와서 영어를 가르칠 수 있기를 바래요!
Alyssa
지금 중학생이세요? 우와. 아마 여기에 코멘트를 남기는 사람들 중에서 가장 젊지 않을까 하는 생각이 들어요 ^^ 앞으로도 자주 오세요!!
Tuesday at 9:54 am
아, 그렇군요! 감사하고 쉬운 중급 레슨 25번을 기다리고 있어요.
Wednesday at 6:46 pm
Daniel
넵! 기다려 주세요 ㅎㅎ
(그런데 이럴 때는 “기다리고 있을게요”라고 말하는 것이 더 자연스러워요^^)

When is a good time to try and tackle the lower intermediate lesons?
Thursday at 2:56 pm
Does anyone know how to convert Korean text that looks like this:
(1)리포터 지난 주에 报道해 드렸던 金씨가 赌博을 그만두기로 결심했다고
To text with Hanja, like this:
(1)리포터 지난 주에 报道해 드렸던 金씨가 赌博을 그만두기로 결심했다고
Other than just doing it manually? It would help me a lot in reading Korean.
I’ve had a look around the ‘net, but anything useful on Hanja is completely in Korean, so it’s quite difficult.

If you think the Beginner Lessons are too easy for you, and wan to know more vocab and expressions, go ahead and tackle the Lower Intermediate lessons
Max
How are you doing it manually? I wonder if we do it the same way. (I use the 한자 button on my keyboard after selecting the certain letter that I want to convert to 한자.)
Thursday at 10:35 pm
선생님, I’m just reading the Korean, then deleting the hangul, and typing in the Chinese pin-yin spelling of those words!
I’m looking for something easier; your way sounds more simple. What OS are you using?
Friday at 12:28 pm
Max…
To type 漢字 on your mac, type the 한글 syllable, and then press that will bring up a list of all the 漢字 that go with each 자모. Scroll down the list, and hit again to select it.
Friday at 1:10 pm
Thanks Austin
I don’t have a Mac so I wasn’t sure how to help Max hehe. Max, I’m using a PC. ^^
Monday at 6:56 pm
Austin…
Thanks, but I think you’ve left out eh most important part, what button to press!
(”then press that will bring up a list”)
By the way, are you using 2-set Korean to enter text?
Tuesday at 6:54 am
ahh…
HA HA
I tried to get fancy and somehow the formatting I used deleted the key combination! Sorry
option+enter will bring up the list.
Yes, 2 set the way to go.
Saturday at 5:22 am
I think in windows you just have to hit the right ctrl button to get the hanja selection, after having typed the hangeul.
Saturday at 5:17 am
여러분은 내년에 무슨 일이 생기기를 바래요?
저는내년에 한국에서기를 바래요
Thursday at 6:33 pm
우리 꿈꿀 있지요?
나는 내일 약혼 하기를 바래요.
그렇지만 나는 한국어 잘뭇하기 때문에 남자진구의 가족이 랑 통부하기 오려워요. 그리고 남자 진구 유럽 에서 있어요.
Tuesday at 9:48 am
나는 내년 한국어 더 공부하기를 바래요! 요즘은 열심히 공부하지만 전전히 공부하고 있어요. 내년도 우리 아내이랑 게속 한국에서 살기를 바래요. 두년 우리들이 한국에서 살기를 바래요.
Tuesday at 5:40 pm
지금도 한국어를 정말 잘 하시는데요? 내년부터는 한국에서 가족들과 함께 좋은 일 많기를 바랄게요.
그 전에 한국에서 산 적이 있었나요? : ) 제 생각에는 한국에서 2년이나 3년 정도 살았던 것 같아요.
