Level: Newbie Season 2
You have been trying to think of a way to strike up a conversation with new people in Korea…make some new friends, but you are very shy. Today is such a beautiful summer day in Korea…it sure would be nice to have some new Korean friends to chat with in Korean! Instead, you sit down at an outdoor Korean café, order a coffee, and take a huge drink, not thinking about how hot it might be! Seconds later, as it scalds your tongue, you look around you for help and beg the table of young people next to you in Korean, “please, help! It’s hot!” Laughing they jump to your aid and hand you their ice cream. You shove mounds into your mouth to soothe your ailing tongue…screaming moments later in Korean, “It’s too cold!” Well, you have broken the ice with some new Korean friends, so to speak!
