여러분 내일은 뭐 할 거예요? 그렇지 않아도 한국어 공부하려고 했죠?
(Everyone, what are you going to do tomorrow? You were going to study Korean even before we asked you, right?)
hahahahaha I just realized that the first comment by Koreanclass101 is dated July 1st. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
쟈클린 . 하하하.
You’re always paying attention to details!! ㅋㅋㅋ
그렇지 않아도 나도 그 생각하고 있었는데!! ㅎㅎㅎ

일주일에 한국어 수업 몇 시간 있어?

한국어 공부가 세상에서 제일 중요한지는 모르겠지만, 아주 중요한 것은 사실이죠. 하하하.
우와 하루에 3시간씩 한국어 수업이 있어?
Wow you take a Korean class for three hours a day?
“그렇지 않아도…”
I always translated this into “even though…” or “even if it’s not…” Ex: 이 음식은 맛있다. 그렇지 않아도 먹을 게요. (This food is tastey. But even if it’s not I’ll eat it.) Is this wrong? I’ve never used that phrase as “before you mentioned it…”
현우씨–
진짜 공부 촣아 하는 편 이에요? What’s the word for “nerd” in korean?
(농담이죠…)
Marcus
그렇지 않아도 can be translated as “even it’s not”, but in everyday conversation, we say this very often to mean “Even if you hadn’t mentioned that, I was going to…” or “Even before you mentioned it, I was thinking …”
“This food is tasty. But even if it’s not I’ll eat it.” can be written in Korean as ” 이 음식 맛있어요. 그렇지만 맛없어도 먹을 거예요. ”
Using ‘그렇지 않아도’ there sounds a little bit ^^;; (not incorrect at all but) not very natural, hehe.
그리고 ^^ nerd라는 말…. 한국어로 번역하기 참 어려운 말이에요.
(And the word ‘nerd’ is very hard to translate into Korean.)
하지만 ‘공부 벌레’라고 하는 표현은 있어요 ^^
(But there’s an expression “study bug” ^^)
현우 씨가 ‘(not incorrect at all but) not very natural’라고 썼는데, 쓰지 않아도 똑같다고 생각하려고 했어요.
그 예문이 다 틀렸다고요?
그렇지 않아도 틀린 것 같아요… 좀 고쳐 주세요!
구봉이
미안해요. 질문을 다시 한번만 해 주세요. 제가 이해를 잘 못하고 있는 것 같아요! ^^;;;
