가끔도 일본어 비슷해요!!
( 어!! 어렵다!! )
Thursday at 6:24 am
This was by far the most entertaining sequence so far~
Hopefully you guys can bring in some other dialects as well…or just bring him back for the swearing lesson! haha
Thursday at 6:25 am
Oh yah, this has inspired me to go check out 경상도 when I’m back in Korea this summer~ lol
Thursday at 10:57 am
just curious, how would you say “if you do do that one more time i’m gonna kill you” in standard korean?
i love these 사투리 lessons! i have a friend from 부산 - next time i see her i’ll have to say something to surprise her! are there more 사투리 lessons in the future?
Thursday at 11:01 am
Nate,
Yeah, be sure to check out 부산!!!
It’s an awesome city!

에밀리
하하하하
“If you do that one more time I’m gonna kill you” in Korean is
“너 한번만 더 그러면 죽여버린다.”
하하하하하.
Thursday at 11:02 am
Of if you want to sound “less intimidating”, you can say
“너 한번만 더 그러면 죽는다~!”
Thursday at 11:28 am
While on the topic of threats..
Someone once taught me a phrase like “I will kill you with one punch”
but…I’ve forgotten it. Can you help me out, 현우?
Thursday at 11:37 am
하하하하하하하하하…
협박(threats) 레슨을 하나 해야 할 것 같아요!
Maybe we should do a lesson on threats!
:D
I don’t know exactly what line your friend taught you but
“I will kill you with one punch” in Korean can be
‘한방에 끝내 버린다.’
‘한 주먹에 끝내 버린다.’
‘한 주먹에 콱!’
ㅎㅎ

제들린 맞아요 ^^ 일본말이랑 빗하죠? 사람들 다 그렇게 말 해요..
Nate I’m not so sure we’re going to be doing some swearing lessons for KClass. Not sure if the bosses would appreciate that! hehe
But we are definitely thinking of bringing him back for some regular lessons as well.
Emily I LOVED 부산 when I went there. I thought it was the most amazing place. the 분위기 is terrific! But don’t know if I can live there, lol. They’re kind of rough around the edges (and this is coming from a New Yorker!
).
Austin (오민) Sorry Austin, can’t help. I only speak nice Korean.
Thursday at 11:53 am
thanks hyunwoo - that sounds longer than the way it way it was said with satoori in the lesson. isn’t there a shorter way? don’t worry, i’m not going to go pick fights! i’m just curious of the difference between the satoori and standard korean. well, i might pick a fight sometime… ^^
and i just listened again and couldn’t stop laughing at the “like a big wave before a typhoon” part. you guys are hilarious!
Thursday at 1:33 pm
I want swearing lessons too!
ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 사장님 부탁드립니다 ㅋㅋㅋ
Those are “Just In Case Lessons” ㅎㅎㅎ, we (외국인들) don’t want to be defenceless
ㅋㅋ
Just put a Warning: Listener Discretion Advised ㅋㅋㅋ
Thursday at 3:23 pm
Hilarious. Thanks for my laugh for today.
There’s something interesting in the chemistry of the dialouge… The girl’s voice is so cutesy, and the man’s is so rough and blunt.
But nothing can top my new favourite phrase, which if I can spell it right, is 떼리치아뿌라! I also like the 니 미치나? phrase, especially with the “waterfall” intonation. And for the record, I understood the “taking a test” analogy, but the waterfall is much more of a beautiful image!
Friday at 12:44 am
i’d love learning this 사투리…
ㅋㅋㅋ
Friday at 12:36 pm
The dialect dialog track isn’t downloading in iTunes for me
Sunday at 1:52 pm
my friend came back from korea and i used some of the phrases while talking to her on the phone tonight - she thought it was great. she couldn’t stop laughing at me! she says she’s going to teach me more - i am excited! ^^

So, everyone. I spent the weekend in Busan, and it was really cool to hear Busan dialect.
Unfortunately I don’t have any Korean friends in Busan… so all I could learn was one phrase from a bartender in a little “soju tent” called fuzzy navel in 서면.
I find the expression 죽으래? quite useful with my close friends, and had recently learned the Jeju equivalent to that… 죽잰? So I decided to ask the bartender about 부산 사투리 and found that in 부산 it’s 뒤질래?
Now when my best friend says something stupid to me, I can ask my friend if she wants to die in standard Korean, Busan, and Jeju dialects. What an accomplishment!
Perhaps I should have started learning friendlier phrases….?
hahahaha

Emily
Good to know that these lessons were helpful!!
재미있는 표현 배우면 알려주세요
Tuesday at 2:39 am
하하하하…
여러가지 사투리로 욕을 할 줄 아는 것은… ㅎㅎ 그다지 실용적이지 않을지 몰라도 친구들끼리 이야기할 때에는 참 재미있는 이야깃거리가 될 거예요 ㅎㅎ
Wednesday at 4:24 am
oh wow~
how do i learn just busan korean? really sounds good
(^__^ x)
Wednesday at 12:04 pm
David,
Hehe, there’s an American man living in Korea who’s quite popular on TV and only speaks the Busan dialect and actually he became popular because of his perfect dialect
Tuesday at 2:18 am
OMG, you gotta bring this guy back. I found him so facinating with his expressions! And it’s funny to hear what he had to say about the men, it starts to make sense thinking back at the dramas I’ve been watching with this dialect used
Monday at 11:02 am
I agree with B Wong. ^^ I hope there’s a continuation.
Monday at 5:38 pm
B Wong & Shena - We really enjoyed having him here and recording with us. We would love to have him back too! I think he’ll make a few cameo appearances for KoreanClass101.com ^^ hehe
Monday at 12:38 pm
ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I don’t know how Jinyong keeps coming up with those amazing metaphors but i love them! I think it would be great if he made a audio blog =]
Wednesday at 3:42 am
