Level: Beginner Season 2
Last night you and your best friend in Korea had the time of your lives…but you lost track of time and missed her curfew by over an hour! Now her very old-fashioned Korean father wants to know everywhere you were last night in Korea, and everyone you were with, and worst of all, he’s asking you one at a time! Are your Korean language skills good enough to stand up to her Korean father’s line of questioning? They had better be or you will have to find a new best friend in Korea! He takes you into a cold, dark room with nothing but a hard, wooden chair and a very bright light in the corner. You sit down, and he turns the light towards your face and asks in Korean, “where were you last night and who were you with?” Calmly, you reply in Korean, “I was with your daughter and Kim. We went to eat, and the movies, and our favorite clothing store, and the park.” He smiles, and compliments you on your beautiful use of Korean language, and says he understands how it is to be young. Breathing a sigh of relief, you ask in Korean if his daughter can go out again tonight, to which he promptly replies in Korean, “no, and NO!” Well, Korean linking particles can’t join everything together!
