Level: Beginner Season 2
Well, tonight is the big night. You have wanted to date a beautiful Korean girl from your school for quite some time. With your infinite wisdom and undying charm, you have whittled her down to accepting a dinner invitation IF you meet her strict Korean family first. Well, she is smart and beautiful, and some things in life are worth going the extra mile. Now to impress… As the very stern-looking Korean man invites you into his home, you say “hello” in Korean and hand him a small gift. You explain in Korean as he opens the gift, “this is wine from my family’s vineyard, and now it is yours.” He smiles and thanks you for the gift. He asks in Korean “what are your intentions with my daughter?” You thoughtfully explain in Korean, “your daughter, sir, her happiness and safety are of my top priorities.” This seems to make him very happy. You continue in Korean to clarify “my intentions are the best, and I vow to do my best to make your daughter happy.” Wow, who knew that a few carefully placed Korean personal pronouns could sound so good!
