And yet, somehow 민호 still managed to make 안녕하십니까 sound like “suuuup?” He seems to be in his element here and it kinda shows. He’s being casual enough that the geekiness looks a bit 머싰다.

저는 민호처럼 친구 있어요. So geeky and yet not self conscious at all… square and cool all at once. 
So, it seems one could say the Queen of small talk “Nice weather, isn’t it?” as
좋은 닐씨이죠…

쟈클린 (Jacqueline)Yea… 안녕하십니까 is not used so often, but in think in the context of this dialog, because 민호 is pretty confident in himself (or at least on the outside, hehe). Probably outside of business establishments, it’s a little tough to hear people say this.
tormsen Do you really think it’s cool? Maybe some ladies will start to think a computer geek like me is cool 
And I’m not sure about that… 서울 사투리인지 아닌지 잘 모르겠어요 ^^ But I think most of the Korean I know is 서울말…
Jason I wish I could be confident while geeky at the same time… ah… well

민호 seems like a professional. I’m sure that he’s very good at getting discounts at Yongsan.
By spitting out that whole spiel about exactly what he wants, he lets the computer seller know just who he’s dealing with.

현우씨,
I know this may be a bit irrelevant, but I have to ask you: I’m madly in love with Korean food, and I’m getting much better at ordering food. Is it possible if you guys could somehow do a culture class video about what appetizers to order and how to get restaurants to bring the grill over to cook your own meat.
I’m really curious as to how some of my Korean friends bring in lettuce and other various veggies to mix with the meat into a small ball. I don’t know what those are called or how to order them. Is it possible if you guys could do a series of tutorials? I think this would probably a good idea since Korean food is one of the main cuisines I’ve been impressed by its broadness.

I’m a little confused… Is there a difference between 갑자기(야) and 깜짝(이야)? Whenever any of my students or co-workers get startled, I always thought they were saying “어 갑자기!” But maybe I’ve been hearing wrong…
When my students ask me if there’s an English equivalent for 갑자기야!” (or 깜짝이야 :S), I tell them “You startled/scared me!” is the closest thing. 맞죠?
And finally, that tricky inverting 고… I found it hard to understand spoken Korean, for the reason that it never occured to me that 구 is just 고 said with a slight accent. Even a phrase as simple as “맥주 하나하고요, 소주 한 병 주세요” was hard to understand, because it sounded like “하나하구요.” It gets even more confusing when people use the inverted 구 in text messages…

I’ve wondered it to..in the beginning
when I heard Koreans said this I also
thought that they said 갑자기!
even now when I know that it is 깜짝 I still
can’t different them..
여러분! 한국 사람들이 대화에 이야기할 때 갑자기 영어로
바꾸면 목소리 이상하죠?
보텅 한국 친구와 이야기하면 한국어로 너무 빨리 말하지만 영어로 감자기 목소리는 저조하고 천천히 이야기해요.

-> ‘산다고’ 대신에 ‘산다구’ 써 있어요. 민호 발음 때문이지요?
11)민호: … 200G가로 바꾸면 얼마예요?
-> 그냥 ‘200G로’이나 ‘200기가로’ 써도 되지요?
여기 ‘G’ 의미가 ‘기가(바이트)’이에요.
