여러분… 한국어 공부하고 뭐 하실래요? (Everyone… What would you like to do after you study Korean?)
Thursday at 8:10 pm
한국어를 공부하고 나서 좀 쉬고 싶어요!
One question about politeness: are these the same, or is one a little more polite than the other?
이거 좀 더 주시겠어요?
이거 좀 더 주실래요?
Friday at 5:27 am
In the question above how do i know that it’s asking After i study korean? Is it the 하고 ending in 공부하고?
Friday at 9:09 am
This grammar point is getting used in my homework (I still haven’t done it yet!)

I’m using this grammar point in my video too, actually!

한국어 공부하고 나서 좀 쉬었어요?
그리고 좋은 질문이에요!
“이거 좀 더 주시겠어요?” is a little bit more polite than “이거 좀 더 주실래요?”
Jacqueline,
yeah the -하고 (나서) means “after doing (something)”
Friday at 11:03 am
저는 보통 저녁식사 한 다음에 한국어를 공부해요. 그래서 비곤하지요. 잠을 자고싶어요.
가끔 사무소에서… 음, 저는 출근하서 먼저 공부해요. 연후 (그후?) 뭐 할래요 찰 몰라요. 그렇지만 일하기 싫어요.
자도 ‘하고’ 대한 물어보기로 했어요
고마와요.
Friday at 11:29 am
한국어 공부하고 빨리 숙제를 할래요!!!
숙제를 다 한 후에 놀수 있어서요. ㅋㅋㅋ
Friday at 11:43 am
PS
Or rather, I could have said
저는 보통 저녁식사 하고 나서 공부해요…
맞아요?
Friday at 11:47 am
Jason

둘 다 맞아요. They are both correct
저도 저녁식사 하고 나서 공부해요 ^^!
Theresa,
학교 숙제가 많아요? ^^
Friday at 1:49 pm
Jacqueline…

Sorry! I mis-read your question! Of course you know what 한국어 means. I didn’t realize you were empahasizing the word AFTER!………English is silly like that sometimes
Monday at 9:29 pm
Monday at 11:59 pm

theresa

Wednesday at 7:47 am
오! ‘주실래’
Wednesday at 7:49 am
헐..웹사이트 좀 이상해진 것 같아요, 아까 썼던 글을 다 보냈지 않아요…
‘주실래’
Wednesday at 7:51 am
what the..I don’t get it, it’s not sending anything after 주실래..
주실래 was a typing error, not 반말. Just wanted to say this but it kept not sending
Wednesday at 10:56 am
I want to test this out a bit… 주실래요
Wednesday at 10:57 am
헉… 왜 그럴까?
Wednesday at 9:43 pm
I think it might have been the ‘………….’
let’s see…
Wednesday at 9:44 pm
‘아마, 한국말 때문일까’ hmmm
Wednesday at 9:44 pm
nope, don’t know what the problem was
Wednesday at 4:42 pm
안녕하세요, 여러분..
킷스 씨하고 선현우 씨가 많이 가르쳐 줘서 감사합니다!
여기에서 한국어를 많이 배웠거든요.
이번엔 질문이 있어서 여러분 가르쳐 줄래요?
-ㄹ래는 과거를 쓰면 어떻게 돼요? 할 수 있죠?
아무튼 저는 지금 아직 한국어 조급 학새인데요.
한국어를 질 못 해서 미안합니다.
Wednesday at 4:46 pm
제들린 안녕하세요
반갑습니다 ^_^
한국어 열심히 공부하세요 ㅎㅎ
질문이 있으면 언제든지 해 주세요 ^^
-래 = do you want to …?
그것을 과거로 쓰면, ‘did you want to ..?’ 인가요?
:)
만약, Did you want to…?를 한국어로 말하고 싶으면,
“-려고 했어?” 가 됩니다 ^_^
I hope this answers your question, 제들린.
If it doesn’t, please let me know.
Wednesday at 5:53 pm
선현우 씨가 진짜 빨리 대답해 줘서 고마워요!
“-려고 하다”는 intend to, going to, plan to 맞죠?
근데 WANT to 느낌도 있어요?
Wednesday at 6:39 pm
네, 제들린 ^^ 언제든지 질문하세요~
“-려고 하다”는 intend to, going to, plan to의 의미가 있고,
“-을래?”는 want to의 의미가 있지만,
항상 100% 같은 것은 아니에요~
[ -ㄹ래 = want to = ~고 싶다 ] 이지만,
“나 집에 갈래.”와 “나 집에 가고 싶어”는 조금 달라요.
그래서
“나 집에 갈래” = I want to go home. + I’m gonna go home.
“나 집에 가려고 했어” = I was gonna go home. + I wanted to go home.
이렇게 되는 거예요
So you can’t really say ~려고 하다 has the meaning of “to want to”, but in this past tense, it does
Wednesday at 7:07 pm
선현우 씨,
우우우 그렇구나….
한국어는 너무 복잡해요.
선현우 씨, 고마워요.
Wednesday at 7:34 pm
제들린 씨
언제든지 질문하셔도 좋아요!~
화이팅이에요!
복잡하지만 열심히 하세요
