Michel aka

Isn’t there a way to know how long the video is ?
Cuz the problem with this is that you can’t pause it ^^ and that you don’t know how many minutes are left

hey i noticed when looking at the lesson notes that under “Key Word #2″ for the sentence 가스 렌지를 끄다 the english translation showed “to turn on the stove” shouldn’t it be “to turn off the stove”?

Shan says:

This is my first time listening to the picture video vocab, and I found it pretty good, even though what Hyunwoo said in Korean was quite over my head.

But why do you put wine bottles on top of your microwave? Don’t they get really warmed up when you microwave something??

How about doing a real video instead of just still images? That would be really interesting, like a TV program! KoreanClass101 channel :)

avatar
says:

if 불을 is stove what is 난로?

avatar
선현우(Hyunwoo Sun) says:

Jacqueline :-)

You can download the m4v file too ^^ we could have the video streaming but then the flash image loads the quickest ^^. But we’ll see if we can get the video in a timeline ;-)

And thanks for pointing that out! Yes you’re right. There’s no way that 켜다 and 끄다 are the same thing. Hehe. :D We’ll get that fixed! ^_^

Shan :-)

Doing a real video will be fun too^^ I hope we’ll be able to do some real video lessons in the future too!! ;-) And about the wine bottles … hehe. My sister LOVES wines and there are even more bottles on the top of the refrigerator. Hehe.

:-)

Yeah 난로 is a stove too^^ I guess 가스레인지 is more precisely a gas stove and 난로 is a stove right? :-) BTW, 난로’s are going out of fashion I guess…. ^^

Michel,
I’ve never been to Jeju Isleand
in spite of Korea ( I live in Seoul)
so If I get a chance, I’ll go there for sure .
I’ve heard that Jeju Island is so beautiful and
it doesn’t look like Korea
I mean.. it’s kind of landscape

선현우(Hyunwoo Sun) says:

Jeff :-)

Glad to hear that you love this series .. heh heh . ;-) I hope a lot of people find it useful too! :D

Michel :-)

Hana :-)

You’ve never been to Jeju Island? You should really check it out! And I’m sure you’ll be able to take BEAUTIFUL photos there too!!

you know i was thinking, as i was walking around my kitchen last night reciting everything in there that i knew in korean, i figured it be good idea to do the same no matter where u are. Lets say you are walking around your town, as a car drives by, point and say 차 or u pass by a house say 집. you get the idea. This is what I was doing in the kitchen yesterday. I think it’s better than just sitting around with a Pencil and a Notebook trying to memorize the words.
