여러분~ 잘 지내셨어요? 저는 학생이였을때 집에서 잠만 잤는데… ^^;
(Everyone! Did you have a good week? When I was a student, I just slept at home :P )

avatar Matthew (매튜) says:

Yea, I have been on holiday as well. It feels so good.

What do you usually do on a holiday? :-)

Keith,

You need some more holidays!!

avatar Keith says:

Well, I just stayed at home for the past week. I get on the computer a lot, I play my SNES (http://ko.wikipedia.org/wiki/SNES), I listen to my iPod a lot and I sleep in.

avatar says:

wow I still have an SES…….

avatar says:

SNES…..doh!

Another audio blog, another lot of words that I don’t know… But also, a lot I do know! Thanks for the challenge.

When I was a university student, I’d get a job during the summer. In my last couple years, I worked at an amusement park near Toronto, Canada, helping to run the Go-Karts. The money was OK, and I had a lot of fun, but the full-time hours were really long.

Oh, and to answer your question from earlier,

my vacation was niiiiiiiice. i met up with some cute girls at a pub to watch k1. then we did karaoke. my friend from england was so drunk he climbed a tree in the park in slept in it all night.

tomorrow is recovery day, i’m really looking forward to that. maaaaan, seoul is off the chandelier! i love this city!!

avatar 선현우 says:

Matthew, John, //

Wow. I used to play that game too!! HAha. I think I had it until I was like 10 (about 17 years ago) - I loved those video games!! Some of the games are being redeveloped and reprogrammed to fit into Windows, right? :D

avatar 선현우 says:

Daniel,

Thank you 고맙습니다 ^_^

I am sure you’ll understand more and more soon.

Wow, working in an amusement park sounds really cool - I’ve never worked in an amusement park before. But like you said, I’m sure you had a lot of 과로.

:-) Thanks for the reply, and if you won’t mind me correcting what you wrote in Korean once again.

Thanks!

avatar 선현우 says:

李孝利_is_my_goddess, //

where are you from? :-)
Are you teaching in Korea ? What part of Seoul are you living in ? I’m living near Dongdaemun :D Do you know that area?

avatar Daniel K says:

Oh, the SNES. That takes me back! In fact, you can play those games on your computer right now using an SNES emulator and an SNES Rom Image (which Nintendo Corp says you’re not supposed to have, but well…)

I was just in that area about a week ago. I went with a few friends after work, and we didn’t leave until about 5AM! It’s a cool place, if a bit strange at times. We were at a T-shirt stall in the market, and a young drunk guy showed up, wanting to help sell shirts. The employees must have thought it would be simply easier to let him stay than cause trouble, so they gained a new “점원”…

Thanks again for the Korean help. The grammar I have is useful for small talk and ordering in restaurants, but…

avatar 선현우 says:

Daniel,

(Yes, I’m living near 동대문, and to be more specific, I’m living right across the street from Korea University.)

^^ (Haha, you witnessed a funny incident in 동대문. Do you go to 동대문 often? I don’t go there very often even though I live nearby.)

(Daniel, your Korean grammar is very strong. I think you won’t have a problem living in Korea.)

avatar g-won says:

yo snes was my piece!! ACtually I’m playing Chrono Trigger now!!

avatar 李孝利_is_my_goddess says:

bro, i’m not sure what part of town i’m living in. all i know is the girls are FINE up in herre!

i’m not teaching, just taking the summer off to party up like a rage-aholic in this city with the most Seoul! awwww yeah!

avatar barbara says:

Annyeonghaseyo!
Thanks for the audio blogs. They are of great help specially with the native accent but one thing i’ve noticed is that there is no lecture on the sentence formation [which i think is very important]. Sentence formation in korean language is quite different from that in englsih language. I wanna know that have you covered that aspect as well. As far as ive seen in the lectures the Grammar part is very nicely covered with all the details but the sentence formation is not yet touched  . Are they covered in the future lectures or do we have to break down blogs ourselves  [which i think is not at all possible for beginners]?
